Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid Review

Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid Plot Summary

Have you seen Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid? If not, then you're missing out on one of the most refreshingly fun anime. Kobayashi is your average, everyday office worker until one day; she comes home to find a dragon lounging on her couch. This dragon, named Tooru, has come to live with Kobayashi and her and intends to become her maid. What follows is a heartwarming story of friendship and family, as Kobayashi and Tooru get to know each other and learn to accept one another for who they are. The characters are endearing, and the story is delightful, making Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid one of the must-watch animes. If you're looking for a light-hearted anime that will put a smile on your face, then Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid is definitely worth checking out.

Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid Plot Summary

Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid is about a young office worker; during her drunken trip to the mountains the previous evening, she came across the dragon. Realizing that the legendary beast had nowhere else to go, Kobayashi offered the creature a place to stay in her home because it was the only option it had. To repay her kindness, the dragon decides to become her maid and live with her. As you can imagine, hijinks ensue, and the show is filled with plenty of laugh-out-loud moments. But what makes Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid so special is the strong bond that develops between Kobayashi and her dragon maid, Tooru. The show is a great mix of comedy, heart, and warmth, and it's one that I can't recommend enough. If you're looking for a light-hearted anime to watch, Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid is definitely it!

Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid Characters

Miss Kobayashi is a young, single woman who works a boring desk job. One day, she meets with a dragon who looks like a little girl, and this dragon, named Tooru, ends up becoming her maid. Tooru is a sweet and loyal dragon who loves Miss Kobayashi dearly. She works hard to take care of her and does her best to make her happy. Then there's Kanna, Tooru's adorable little friend. Kanna is a dragon-kitten hybrid who can transform into a human girl. She's curious and playful and loves spending time with Tooru. Scenes involving other dragons and Kobayashi's otaku friend Takiya are noticeably less appealing because the anime is at its most compelling when it is centered on these main three characters.

Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid Characters

Animation and Artstyle

Concerning the quality of its productions, Kyoto Animation does not fall short of expectations. The show appears to be very vibrant and packed with a lot of energy. Most of the characters, particularly the dragons, each have their own appearance. Each character's appearance fits in with his or her personality. The amusing expressions on their faces are endearing and hilarious in equal measure. Containing stunning animation, line work, character art, and background artwork. The show has a lovely and consistent feel to it.

Music and Sound

The opening and closing themes are absolutely irresistible to listen to and perfectly suited to the atmosphere of the anime. The dragon girls' singing, which is absolutely precious, takes up approximately half of the ending. When it comes to voice acting, I can't think of anything better to complement the brilliantly designed characters of the series than its talented cast of voice actors. Each of the characters, both the main ones and the supporting ones, plays their parts convincingly and with a great deal of feeling, personality, and enthusiasm.

Is Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid Worth Watching?

So, is Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid worth watching? The answer is a resounding yes! The story is beautifully written, and the characters are lovable and relatable. The show is definitely worth watching for its light-hearted and refreshing take on the slice-of-life genre. But what really makes this anime stand out is the humor. It's laugh-out-loud funny, and I found myself grinning from ear to ear for most of the show. So, if you're looking for a light-hearted and entertaining anime, Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid is definitely worth checking out. You won't be disappointed!
