Welcome to the N.H.K., also known as NHK ni Youkoso!, is a dark comedy anime released on July 10, 2006, by Gonzo Studios. The series was directed by Yuusuke Yamamoto and had twenty-four episodes. Kanji Sasahara was a college freshman looking for a place where he could fit in. He happened upon the Genshiken club, a gathering place for people interested in modern visual culture. However, his first visit to the club did not go well, and his pride was shattered by his senior, the charismatic and highly regarded Haranobu Madarame. He became more involved in the club after meeting Makoto Kousaka, a die-hard anime fan. He began going to conventions and reading doujinshi. He also met some interesting people, including Kousaka's girlfriend, Saki Kasukabe. She was a non-otaku girl who wished to transform her boyfriend into a more normal person. While Saki struggled with her boyfriend's obsession with anime and culture, he was having a good time at Genshiken. He gradually came to terms with his identity as an otaku.
3. Neon Genesis Evangelion ( 1995 )

It follows the life of Nozomu Itoshiki, a high school teacher who's just about ready to give up on life. Every day is a struggle for him, but he's constantly surrounded by people who are even more messed up than he is. And the irony is that they're all trying to teach him how to live a happy life. So if you're in need of a good laugh, then this is the anime for you.

Takumi Nishijou's severe delusions appear to be a result of his schizophrenia and the hikikomori lifestyle he has adopted. Being a hikikomori only makes things worse for him. One day, he stumbles upon a horrific murder scene that is linked to a string of events known as the "New Generation." His life soon becomes intertwined with these happenings, and he finds himself surrounded by a band of increasingly psychotic anime girls wielding swords.

A Silent Voice is a beautiful and heartbreaking anime that is worth watching. It's about two classmates, Shouya and Shouko, who have a complicated history. Shouya bullied Shouko mercilessly when they were in school together, and as a result, she became withdrawn and isolated. Now that they're adults, Shouya realizes the magnitude of his actions and sets out to make things right. This anime is about redemption, forgiveness, and second chances. It will make you cry, but it's ultimately a story of hope. If you're looking for an anime that packs an emotional punch, then A Silent Voice is definitely worth your time.
13. The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya ( 2006 )
If you're looking for an anime that's as emotionally charged as Kimi no Na Wa, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya is a great option. The story follows Haruhi, a high school student who is bored with the everyday monotony of life. She decides to start up her own club, which she calls the SOS Brigade, in order to find some excitement. The members of the SOS Brigade are all quirky individuals who have their own special talents. On November 22, 2010, ten missiles were launched at Japan. Despite the fact that this terrorist attack was unusual and unprecedented, no one appears to have been injured. Most people have forgotten Saki Morimi, who left Japan three months ago to attend graduate school in the United States. While in Washington, DC, she got into a fight in front of the White House. Fortunately, a man named Akira intervened and rescued her. But Saki knows absolutely nothing about him. His only visible items of clothing are his phone and gun.

By the year 2075, everyone on Earth will have access to space travel. The colonization of the moon and the establishment of major corporations with a global presence in space are just two examples of how technological advancement has aided the space industry's growth. Ai Tanabe is one of these people; she is a cheerful woman who enjoys astronomy. She began working for the company's Debris Section, which clears debris from orbital paths between the Moon and Earth. Ai quickly realizes that her responsibilities are not being met adequately. The Toy Box, the Debris Section's spaceship, is in such disrepair and need of repair that it cannot be used. Despite the numerous challenges she faces, Ai perseveres. She eventually learns more about the company's employees and their unique quirks. Planetes is a unique sci-fi adventure that explores the inner lives of space colonists.

Kirino, Kyousuke Kousaka's younger sister, is beautiful, popular, and even works as a model, so she clearly outperforms her brother in social matters. However, he only knows this side of her and is not surprised when he discovers, by chance, that she is an eroge-otaku. Contrary to Kirino's initial concern, he sees no reason to betray her salacious hobby, so he quickly becomes her interlocutor and lackey while she pursues her obsession.
