Seraph of the End follows Yuuichirou and Mikaela Hyakuya, two boys kidnapped from an orphanage, along with the other kids who have become family to them. When a mysterious virus strikes and wipes out everyone over the age of 13, the remaining humans are subjugated by a group of bloodthirsty vampires who have been hiding in the shadows for centuries. In exchange for the blood of the humans, the vampires promise to protect them.
Seraph of the End is undoubtedly one of the most beloved anime series in recent decades, and while the series' depth and complexity are its trademarks, there are other shows that can provide viewers with a similar experience. Fans of Seraph of the End will enjoy a variety of other anime that explore dark, supernatural themes, epic battles, and compelling plots.
1. Blue Exorcist ( 2011 )
The brothers Rin and Yukio Okumura are the protagonists of this dark fantasy. They are on their way to a mysterious academy to learn how to defeat demons. They discover that their human mother had a sexual encounter with Satan before giving birth to them and that Rin is the true heir to Satan's throne and power. If this isn't an amazing story that's complicated enough to build an exciting anime series around, I don't know what is. It is imperative that you watch it because of the high quality of the animation and the fascinating story.
2. Tokyo Ghoul ( 2014 )
Tokyo Ghoul is a great choice if you're looking for an anime that will keep you on the edge of your seat. It's dark, gritty, and full of suspense. The story follows the journey of Ken Kaneki, a young man who becomes a half-ghoul after being attacked by one. Ghouls are creatures that live among us and eat human flesh. As Kaneki starts to learn more about this new world he's discovered, he realizes that he may be in over his head. The characters are well-developed, and the plot is fast-paced. You won't be able to put it down!
3. D.Gray-man ( 2006 )
This is an older series, and despite the manga being put on hold on more than one occasion, the anime adaptation continues to hold a unique position in the industry. The story takes place in a world where demons called Akuma can materialize out of people at any time. Aside from being magical warriors who prowl the streets in search of Akuma to destroy, this is about all there is to the job of an exorcist. When it comes to maintaining public order, exorcists are the ones to call. Almost immediately thereafter, our hero, Allen Walker, becomes entangled in the evil plot that the Millennium Earl devised to destroy and remake the world. Only Allen and the other exorcists can stop him.
4. Attack on Titan ( 2013 )
Attack on Titan is a fantastic anime like Seraph of the End, that's sure to keep you on the edge of your seat. The story is set in a world where humanity is forced to live behind walls to protect themselves from the colossal Titans that constantly terrorize them. Eren Yeager, our protagonist, joins the military in order to fight back and protect his loved ones. But things take a turn for the worse when Titans break through the wall and start slaughtering people. It's a gripping story that will leave you wanting more.
5. Ushio & Tora ( 2015 )
Ushio, a young man, discovers Tora, a demon, residing in the basement of his temple in this tale. Ushio drives the spear through Tora's chest, effectively killing the demon and pinning him to the wall. Because of this, more and more monsters and demons begin to converge on the temple, and eventually, Ushio is compelled to release Tora so that he can aid in the fight. Ultimately, Ushio teams up with Tora in an effort to combat a wide range of global supernatural threats.
6. My Hero Academia ( 2016 )
The world of My Hero Academia is one in which the majority of its inhabitants are born with some form of superpower, which means that there are likely to be more than a few heroes and villains engaging in battle on the streets. The protagonist, Izuku Midoriya, was born into a world where nearly everybody possesses some sort of unique skill or talent, but he was born without power. But then he meets his favorite superhero, All Might, and everything changes. In this way, he is able to assume his hero's mantle of power and embark on a quest to prove himself the greatest hero of all time.
7. Beserk ( 1997 )
Fans of the Beserk manga should start with the original anime, simply titled Berserk, which was released in 1997. Story of a skilled swordsman who joins a group of mercenaries; adapted from the Black Swordsman arc of the original manga. The show was a commercial and critical success despite its short run. Many have said that it is one of the best examples of dark fantasy anime ever made and praised its story.
8. Fire Force ( 2019 )
Fire Force is one of the most popular anime, like Seraph of the End. The world of Fire Force is one that has been reborn after the Great Cataclysm, which was an end-of-the-world conflagration some two hundred and fifty years ago. But peace has not yet been achieved; some people have been transformed into Infernals, which are fire demons, and the fire soldiers have been tasked with fighting them and delivering their souls to heaven. Fire Force's hero, Shinra Kusakabe, and his allies must stop a group of white-robed villains from rekindling the Great Cataclysm at any cost, or else flames will consume the world.

After being sold as part of a bargain with demons by his father, a young ronin named Hyakkimaru and his companion, an imp named Dororo, set out on a journey to retrieve Hyakkimaru's body. First, however, he must now defeat 12 demons to reclaim his missing limbs. The dark fantasy world works perfectly as a backdrop for this story about vengeance, which is full of magical mayhem and features a charming friendship. Add Dororo to your list of recommended anime like Seraph of the End.

If you're a fan of Seraph of the End, then you definitely need to check out Soul Eater. The characters in this anime attend a school where all of the students are learning to kill demons. The story's emphasis on defeating supernatural foes fits right in with the dark, action-packed world of Seraph of the End.

In this isekai series, the protagonist, Naofumi Iwatani, finds himself transported to a fantasy world with a European-inspired setting that is about to come under a lethal assault by legions of monsters and undead. He carries enchanted shields, and the other three heroes each have a sword, bow, and spear in their hands. Being an outcast and left to fend for himself after being betrayed makes it even more difficult for Naofumi to fight off such many monsters. So, with time running out, he forms a new party and gets ready to fight his enemy in any way he can.
12. Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba ( 2019 )
If you're in the mood for a truly amazing anime series, then Demon Slayer is definitely worth watching. It tells the story of Tanjirou, a boy who sets out to become a demon slayer in order to avenge his family. The storyline is gripping and full of action, and the characters are very well-developed. The animation is top-notch, and the fight scenes are absolutely amazing. If you're looking for an anime like Seraph of the End that will keep you on the edge of your seat, then Kimetsu no Yaiba is definitely the one for you.
13. Sirius the Jaeger ( 2018 )
So you're looking for a good anime like Seraph of the End to watch? Check out Sirius the Jaeger. It's one of my favorites. The story is set in the 1930s and follows a group of vampire hunters fighting to protect humanity from the undead. The action is intense, and the characters are fascinating. So if you're looking for a good, old-fashioned vampire story, Sirius the Jaeger is definitely worth watching.
14. Aldnoah.Zero ( 2014 )
If you're a fan of sci-fi anime, then you need to check out Aldnoah.Zero. It's set in the future, where humans and Martians are fighting for control of the planet. The story is told from the perspective of two young soldiers—one from Earth and one from Mars. It's full of action, intrigue, and betrayal, and it's a great example of how anime can be used to tell complex stories. If you're looking for something that's both exciting and thought-provoking, then Aldnoah.Zero is definitely worth your time.

Not only does the show have an intriguing and original premise, but it also features some of the most well-developed characters that any anime series has produced in the past few years.
16. Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood ( 2009 )
Another anime like Seraph of the End is Fullmetal Alchemist. If you haven't seen it yet, now is the perfect time to do so because it tells the story of two brothers who embark on a journey to find the Philosopher's Stone to reverse the effects of an alchemical mistake return their bodies to their original state. Since the series has been finished, there is no longer any danger of being left hanging at the end of a season. The artwork is of the highest caliber, as is the gorgeous animation.
