You have arrived at the correct location if you wish to watch the entire story of Tokyo Ghoul in the correct order. Tokyo Ghoul has been running for eight years now, but it hasn't lost any of its incredible popularity. Also, the main character of the story, Kaneki Ken, has become one of the most famous characters in anime history and you can see him almost everywhere.

Tokyo Ghoul has two seasons, and then it's releasing two more seasons under Tokyo Ghoul:re. In addition, the series has two ova episodes. The ova episodes come earlier in chronological order, but it makes more sense to watch after two seasons of Tokyo Ghoul for better understanding.

Human-eating ghouls can be found in the heart of Tokyo, Japan's capital. Even 18-year-old bookworm Ken has to learn this the hard way when the girl he likes, Liz, wants to bite him on a date. Soon after, he awakens in the hospital and learns that his assailant's organs have been transplanted into him. Then he realizes regular food has a sour smell and taste, and he has trouble digesting anything he eats. In return, he is cursed with an eye that turns red when he is hungry and, much to his chagrin, develops a taste for human flesh, including that of his best friend Hide. It doesn't matter if Ken wants to become a ghoul or not; his transformation into one is unstoppable...

Monsters like Shuu Tsukiyama, who is a "ghoul," feast on the flesh of humans. One night, while Shuu was eating dinner, he was interrupted by a sudden burst of light. The flash of Chie Hori's camera reveals Shuu's true character. He needs to move fast, because a squirming Shuu near a bloody corpse could give away his ghoulish identity. When Shuu finds out that he and Chie go to the same high school, his obsession shifts from self-preservation to a morbid curiosity about Chie. As he gets to know the photographer more, he issues a challenge to them both: broaden your horizons by exploring the other's. Shuu promises Chie a better photo than she has.

It has been two years since the CCG raid on Anteiku. The increasing influence of the CCG has altered the mood in Tokyo, but ghouls continue to be a problem because they have begun taking precautions, especially Aogiri Tree. The CCG may enlist the aid of the Quinx Squad to rid Tokyo of ghouls. As people who can act like ghouls, they help get rid of the dangerous creatures. Haise Sasaki, a hybrid between a human and a ghoul, is under Kishou Arima's tutelage. Piece by piece, the young man he once was begins to resurface from the depths of his subconscious.

Type: TV     Episodes: 12
Aired: Oct 9, 2018 to Dec 25, 2018

After the Tsukiyama Family Extermination Operation, the Commission of Counter Ghouls vowed to eliminate all ghouls in Japan. Haise Sasaki has resigned from Quinx Squad and is now mindlessly fulfilling additional duties for CCG. Haise may give off the impression that he isn't interested, but he's actually struggling with emotions related to the resurfacing of Ken Kaneki's past memories. His close friends and family are also feeling the effects of his newfound apathy. With their leader gone, Quinx Squad is in a muddle. They are grieving the death of a member of their group. It doesn't change the fact that Quinx Squad and Haise must continue working for the CCG in spite of everything that's going on. However, Haise is aware that an unknown cabal is controlling the CCG, and the Quinx Squad has information that there is corruption within the organization.

Should I watch Tokyo Ghoul OVAs?

Tokyo Ghoul has two OVAs, these OVAs are independent of the main story and you won't lose anything if you don't watch it. If you still want to watch it, you can watch it. I had a lot of fun watching it, considering that they are short in duration, I would recommend them.

What happened to Tokyo Ghoul after season 2?

Kaneki battled and lost to Arima, and was trained to forget his ghoul ways while still retaining full knowledge of his ghoul powers. After that, he becomes an inspector working for CCG and in charge of a team of synthetic half-ghouls named Quinx. Unfortunately, the treatment or brainwashing isn't foolproof, and his ghoulish tendencies resurface on occasion, especially when he's under pressure. The doves still need him as a weapon against ghouls, so they refuse to give up on him.
